Q: What’s your funniest client story?
— I showed up for work (in Chicago) wearing a vintage M*A*S*H* t-shirt. My boss looked at me and said, "I can't believe you're wearing that.” I was like, "I know, I was in a hurry, it's not very professional but I have a sweater I can put over it." She said, "No, you are doing Loretta Swit's hair... Hot Lips Hoolihan from Mash." She was in town doing the Vagina Monolouges. Loretta was getting her color done and I walked over to introduce myself. I stopped in my tracks when I saw that the colorist was wearing army fatigue pants. We looked like idiots! She booked that morning so there was no way we could have known. She ended up being a great client and provided more funny stories in the weeks to come.
